Welcome to Second Semester

Dear Lincoln High School Families, we hope you had a restful and safe break. We look forward to seeing all our students return for the second semester. Below, we provided info of what the first week will look like when we return from winter break as well as some guidelines to remember when we are on campus. 

Reminder, In semester-two, students’ school day will start at 8:25 am and have a dismissal time of 3:25 pm Monday through Friday. We advise all parents and students to review our Bell Schedule/Attendance & In-School Policies as we made crucial changes to our tardy and phone-use policy here: https://alhs.dpsk12.org/attendance-policy/

  • Monday, January 3rd– No School – Teacher Planning Day.
  • Tuesday, January 4th – No School – Teacher Planning Day.
  • Wednesday, January 5thGrade 9 Only reports to school at 8:15 am. (Grades 10,11, & 12 stay home).  This will be an early dismissal with all 9th graders ending their school day at 12:30pm.
  • Thursday and Friday, January 6th and 7thAll grades return to school at 8:15 am. All students will be participating in the STAR Assessment to monitor how well our students are doing in math and English. In addition, students will be attending classes with an early dismissal schedule.

Here is the early release bell schedule for Jan 6th and 7th for all grades:

 

January 6th:

8:15am Arrival in the gym
8:25-8:55am Lancer Family
9:00-10:00am Math STAR Testing in Lancer Family 
10:05-10:45am Period 1
10:50-11:30am Period 2
11:35-12:15pm Period 3
12:20-1:00pm Period 4 (Grab & Go lunch and dismissal for 11th/12th grades)

 

January 7th:

8:15am Arrival in the gym
8:25-8:55am Lancer Family
9:00-10:00am English STAR Testing in Lancer Family 
10:05-10:45am Period 5
10:50-11:30am Period 7
11:35-12:15pm Period 8
12:20-1:00pm Period 6 (Grab & Go lunch and dismissal for 9th/10th grades)

Student schedules are being updated leading up to the start of next week and can be viewed in the Student/Parent Portal. https://myportal.dpsk12.org

All students will continue to wear masks while in school every day. As your principal, I ask you to do your best to stay safe and healthy as we return to school.
