Accuplacer Testing Day: Tuesday, November 19th, 2024

Students are scheduled to take the Accuplacer Test Tuesday, November 19th, 2024. Below you will find the information needed to have a successful day.

M.I and M.I.A students will have a normal day of school.

Arrival Time: Check-in from 8:15am-8:25 am in the main hall in the Auditorium.

Testing Time: Students can expect to be done testing anytime between 10:30 and 12:55 pm at the latest depending on whether they complete one, two or three tests. Once a student finishes their tests they are done and may leave for the day.

Depending on your students progress, they will be taking:

  • Math
  • English
  • Or both (Math and English)

Late arrivals will not be allowed to test once testing begins so plan to arrive on time. 

Important Instructions: 

  • Bring your fully charged chromebooks with a power cord.
    If a student does not bring their Chromebook they will be asked to go home and take the accuplacer on the makeup day.
  • A water bottle.
  • Students will receive an email to their DPS Gmail with their room assignments

ACCUPLACER supports students ready to start earning credits toward their degree as well as those who need to develop their skills before taking college-level courses. ACCUPLACER scores let students know where they stand academically, which makes it easier for them to plan a successful path toward a college degree

Accuplacer Information for your Student Tuesday, November 19th

  • The Accuplacer test provides an opportunity to take free college level classes (CE classes).
  • When you pass the Accuplacer test, you can continue your education as a college-ready student and save time and money!

Things to know about the Accuplacer test:

  1. This test is NOT timed and has up to 3 sections. Each section has approximately 20 questions.
  2. There is only one English section. 
  3. If you score very high on one Math section, you will continue to a second, advanced Math section. 

Why am I taking Accuplacer? There are different reasons for different students.

  • You are a junior who could be eligible for college level classes next year. 
  • You are in PTECH and you could be eligible for college level classes next year.
