Robotics

The Abraham Lincoln High School Robotics Team has made the Lancers community incredibly proud, securing 2nd Place for the prestigious BEST Award at the recent BEST Robotics Competition held last Saturday!

The BEST Award (Boosting Engineering, Science, and Technology) is the competition's highest honor, recognizing not only the robot's performance but also the team’s overall efforts in their engineering notebook, marketing presentation, exhibit, teamwork, and spirit.

Triumphant Performance Against Top Schools

Facing a field of 20 participating schools, the Lancers performed exceptionally. They outscored several well-recognized district rivals, including East HS, South HS, and DSST. Our team was the only one from our district to advance to the semifinals, showcasing the students' dedication and skill.

ELL Students Shine

This remarkable achievement is particularly inspiring as most of the team members are English Language Learners (ELLs). They successfully presented their work four different times in English to panels of judges, demonstrating huge growth in communication, confidence, problem solving, and teamwork throughout the process.

On to the Regional Championship!

Because of their outstanding work, the Lancers Robotics Team has earned an invitation to compete at the Regional Championship at Friends University in Wichita, Kansas, on December 6–7.

The school community extends a huge congratulations to our dedicated students and a thank you to everyone who continues to support the Abraham Lincoln Robotics program!
