ALHS JROTC Cadets at ALL City Stadium

Denver Public Schools (DPS) recently hosted its annual unified sports adaptive field day at All City Stadium, a powerful event that champions inclusion and community through sports.

The Lincoln High School JROTC 7th Battalion played a big role, dedicating their time and energy to ensure the event ran smoothly and joyfully. The cadets, who are trained to be better citizens through leadership and community involvement, put their skills into practice. They served as buddies and mentors, guiding participants through different stations, helping with equipment, and cheering on every single student. Their presence not only provided practical assistance but also brought a visible sense of camaraderie and respect.

For the JROTC cadets, this wasn't just another service event. It was a hands-on lesson in empathy and leadership. By working alongside their peers with disabilities, they were able to break down barriers and build bridges of understanding. Their involvement at All City Stadium demonstrates the JROTC program's mission in action, showing that true leadership is about serving others and lifting up the entire community. It was a day where everyone, from the athletes to the volunteers, won.
