Originally from Central California, Kayla attended Sonoma State University as a first-generation student receiving a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and a minor in Sociology. After discovering her passion for college access and success, she went on to receive her master’s degree from the University of Connecticut in Higher Education and Student Affairs. She then spent several years working at UConn and Connecticut College in various areas of student life. Now serving as a College Advisor at Abraham Lincoln High School, Kayla is thrilled to help students navigate their options for life after high school and to empower students to pursue their dreams and aspirations. Outside of work, Kayla enjoys traveling, cooking, and exploring all that Colorado has to offer.
