Senior Announcements – Class of 2019 Graduation Information

Important Senior Dates

May 15-16:  Senior Finals

May 21: 8:00 Gym – Senior Awards Breakfast and Check-out.  

May 21: 1:30 Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal at ALHS.

May 24: Last opportunity to check out.

May 29: Mandatory Graduation Rehearsal at 7:00AM @ DU

May 29: Graduation at 9:00 AM @ DU Ritchie Center

Senior Credit Check-In and Breakfast
May 21th, 8:00 A.M

8:00:  Breakfast for all seniors, Awards Ceremony and Celebrations

9:15:  Seniors will start to go through stations:

    • Librarian
    • Future Center
    • Senior Exit Survey, Student Satisfaction Survey
    • Treasurer — last station prior to counselors
    • Records/ Registrar
    • Attendance Check and Credit Check
    • All fines and fees due to Treasurer’s Office.

Caps & Gowns distributed to students who have met credit and attendance requirements.

Graduation Schedule for Seniors and Families:

  • May 21st:  1:30 GRADUATION REHEARSAL @ Lincoln.  ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY for students who have completed credit requirements and meet attendance/community service requirements to walk at graduation.
  • May 29th :  7:00 AM GRADUATION REHEARSAL @ University of Denver. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY.  ARRIVE AT THE RITCHIE CENTER BY 7:00 A.M. ON WEDNESDAY, May 29th.
  • MAY 29th: 9:00 AM GRADUATION at the University of Denver. All students must make arrangements for transportation.Dress is formal. Do not show up dressed inappropriately! Formal Ceremony.  Act accordingly

Information for families:

Parking:

  • Lot 108*: 50 spaces; NO physical pass, $7/per car cash only.
  • Parking for graduates, families and guests = $7/per car cash only.

ALHS will also offer a shuttle from the lot at South High School 1700 E. Louisiana St. in the southwest corner of the lot

Seating:

  • Doors open no earlier than 8:00 am.
  • Families enter the building on the west side by the soccer/lacrosse fields (up the large outdoor staircase and bell tower)

Etiquette:

  • NO noise makers, large posters, or balloons
  • Families will meet you after the ceremony on the west side of the building
  • After the ceremony you will go back into the small gym and pick up your diploma
  • Professional Dress
