Ron Glazier has a doctorate in School Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Northern Arizona University. Dr. Glazier worked as a School Psychologist in the Gilbert Public Schools and in the Glendale Elementary School District in Arizona. He also trained school psychologists for two years for Northern Arizona University prior to moving to Colorado with his husband in 2015. Dr. Glazier also teaches School Psychology courses at times as adjunct faculty for University of Colorado-Denver, and University of Northern Colorado. Dr. Glazier has been the School Psychologist at ALHS since the 2016-2017 school year and also serves as the Chair of the Special Education Department. Outside of school, Dr. Glazier enjoys doing home improvement projects, woodworking, spending time in nature hiking, camping, scuba diving and mountain biking, and is trying to improve his poor Spanish speaking skills!
Hi, I am Jessica Bastian Munoz and I am a proud graduate of ALHS class of 2011! I migrated with my family in 2005 from Mexico and have called Denver, CO home since. I attended New Mexico Highlands University after graduating from ALHS and earned a double major in Social Work and Spanish. I continued my education and received my master’s degree in Social Work with a Clinical concentration at the same University. I moved back to Colorado with my husband to pursue an opportunity to work as a school social worker and landed back in my former community. This is my third year at Abraham Lincoln High School and I love working with our students and families. In my free time I like to do Crossfit, do outdoor activities, watch Netflix, eat ice cream, travel, and spend time with friends, family and my dogs.
Heather Ray grew up in Virginia and attended the College of William and Mary, earning a BS in Psychology. She spent most of her time there running on their Division 1 Cross Country and Track teams. Once she headed off to Colorado, she attended Denver Seminary and earned her MA in Counseling. This is my 11th year at Abraham Lincoln High School, and my 11th year as a School Counselor. I love the Lincoln community and have never left once I landed here! Outside of school, I love spending time with my family. My daughter is finishing up High School this year, and my son is a first year Buff at CU Boulder. My passion is running, specifically exploring the trails in the mountains, and teaching 1st grade students in Sunday School.
Dalia Flores attended Colorado State University for her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She then went on to earn her master’s degree in Counseling at the University of Colorado- Denver. Dalia is a proud graduate of Denver Public Schools and has been working for the district in different capacities since 2011. This is Dalia’s second year at Abraham Lincoln High School. Additionally, Dalia is an adjunct professor for the Counseling masters program at CU Denver. Dalia’s family is from Durango, Mexico. She is a native Spanish speaker. During her free time, Dalia enjoys spending time with her family and friends!
Michele White received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Ursinus College in PA. She began working in the mental health field and later got her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in VA. After working in various settings for 13 years including inpatient psychiatric, outpatient counseling centers, and doing assessments, Michele attended University of Georgia and earned an Education Specialist degree in School Counseling. She worked as a high school counselor for 13 years in the Atlanta area and relocated to Colorado last year. This is her first year at ALHS. In her free time, Michele enjoys spending as much time outside as possible, especially with her dogs. She loves to travel often (she is also a professional cruise planner/agent) and particularly enjoys cruising in the Caribbean and spending time with friends and family.
Erica Salazar attended Hampshire College for her bachelor’s in liberal arts as well as University of Denver for her master’s degree in social work. She has her LSW as well as a special service provider license. She is in the School Health Professional Role at Lincoln, in which she focuses on prevention and early intervention for substance use. In general, her prevention work focuses on encouraging positive health outcomes for students. Erica proudly sponsors the ALHS GSA! In her free time, she likes to participate in political and social justice activism, salsa dance and spend time with her son.
Annie Hegland – School Nurse. This is her second year with DPS and Abraham Lincoln High School. She has two bachelor’s degrees. Her first bachelor’s degree is in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Iowa and her second is a Bachelors in Science of Nursing from Loyola University of Chicago. She has been a registered nurse for six years. Prior to school nursing, she was an inpatient surgical specialty nurse at the University of Iowa and then an Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant nurse at the University of Colorado. She has been in Colorado for 5 years. She is originally from Iowa City, Iowa. Her and her family moved here in 2014 for her husband’s career. She loves to hike and be outside whenever possible with her husband and daughter.
