All students at ALHS are encouraged to become involved in at least one extracurricular activity, whether it’s a sport, a club or a student leadership opportunity such as student council or the Student Board of Education.

“Being involved in your school community outside of regular classes is so important for an enjoyable high school experience,” Principal Larry Irvin wrote in his welcome letter to Lancers and their families this year.

“These are tremendous opportunities to get to know your peers and your teachers outside of the classroom in ways that will have many positive effects on your life, both in high school and beyond.”
