We would like to nominate Abraham Lincoln High School for the District Partner of the Year award.

From 2021 to 2022, Lincoln saw its college enrollment rise from 25% to 39%, marking an impressive 14% increase. This growth is a testament to the deep collaboration between Lincoln’s staff and the Denver Scholarship Foundation, which has played a critical role in providing students with the support, guidance, and resources they need to pursue higher education. The following year, from 2022 to 2023, college enrollment rose another 4%, reaching 43%. This continued success reflects Lincoln’s dedication to building a college-going culture and fostering an environment where every student can thrive.

The Denver Scholarship Foundation doesn’t just work at Abraham Lincoln High School; in its truest ways, DSF works in PARTNERSHIP with Lincoln including Leadership, Administration, Counselors, Teachers, Paras, and Custodial teams. The partnership is both felt and demonstrated by how seamlessly DSF is included in discussions and integrated into the school’s systems.

We never have to advocate for our place or push to be included—when the Future Center seeks involvement, they’ve already made room for us at the table. Their commitment to fostering this partnership means that we are consistently invited to participate in meaningful discussions and initiatives that impact the entire student body. When it comes to hosting our events and delivering services, the staff is always eager to step in—whether to help brainstorm ideas, assist with logistics, or take direct action. Their enthusiasm and willingness to contribute have made it possible for us to run workshops and programs smoothly and effectively. Lincoln Lancer staff from every department have gone above and beyond, offering their support in various ways—from assisting with FAFSA workshops and College Application days to visiting classrooms and spreading the word about the resources we provide. They ensure that the Future Center is not just a service, but a vital part of the student experience, reaching every student who walks through these halls. This collaborative spirit is what makes our partnership with Abraham Lincoln High School so impactful and successful. Lincoln’s thoughtfulness, strategic thinking, and commitment to collaboration truly deserves to be recognized and celebrated!
